Trust and safety

How we keep listings genuine.

Job quality is part of how the platform operates, not an afterthought. Here is what we check, what the badges mean, and what to do when something looks wrong.

What we review

Every employer and listing passes checks before appearing in search, matching, and alerts. Signals include company identity evidence, website and contact consistency, clarity of scope, payment information, suspicious links, and any request for upfront worker payments or sensitive financial information, which is an automatic rejection.

Email confirmed

The employer verified control of their contact email address.

Employer reviewed

Company identity, website, and contact details checked for consistency.

Listing reviewed

Scope, pay information, and common scam signals checked.

A badge means the corresponding check was completed. Review is never a guarantee of employment or payment, and we do not describe it as one.

Reporting and enforcement

Every listing has a Report listing control. Reports go to the review team, which can request changes, reject a listing, suspend an employer, or remove a listing entirely. Suspended employers and removed listings disappear from search, matching, and alerts promptly, and affected applicants are notified when appropriate. Every moderation action is recorded in an audit history.

Warning signs to watch for

  • Any request for upfront payment, gift cards, or equipment fees before work begins.
  • Requests for banking passwords or identity documents before a formal engagement.
  • Interviews conducted entirely over text-messaging apps with pressure to act fast.
  • Pay that seems far above market rate for vague or minimal work.

See any of these? Report the listing and stop contact. We investigate every report.

Your private information

Resumes, contact details, and application files stay private and are shared only with employers you apply to. Private documents are never used to train AI models without your explicit opt-in, and your profile is hidden from employers unless you opt into discovery.
